The evening

A healing evening, woven new each season.

We hold these evenings seasonally. Nicola Buffa is the sound healer and the creator of Source Field Sound, and Melissa is the co-collaborating Reiki practitioner, trained by Reiki Master Nicola Buffa. Together, with sound and Reiki, we weave a healing evening, each one unique and designed with its own intention aligned with the season, the stars and the energies.

Guided meditation

A settling in, so the body knows it is allowed to rest before the sound begins.

Reiki energy healing

Hands-on Reiki infusions from Melissa Wittman, and distance Reiki from Nicola Buffa, throughout the session.

Crystal singing bowl sound bath

A soothing fifty minute sound journey of crystal singing bowls with healing energy to transport you.

Integration and tea

Time to come back slowly, with a tea reception. You leave refreshed and grounded.

What the evening holds

Fifty minutes of Soundbath and Reiki, then a tea reception. Mini Reiki energy infusions, hands on, are given by Melissa Wittman for a gentle and powerful experience during the Soundbath, while Nicola Buffa holds the sound.

There are plenty of cosy spa amenities: aromatherapy, heated neck pillows, extra blankets and cushions, and eye masks. Bring a yoga mat, a blanket, a pillow or cushions and an eye pillow for your nest, as the Soundbath is taken lying down.

Who holds the evening

Nicola Buffa and Melissa.

Two practitioners hold every evening: Nicola Buffa on the crystal singing bowls and the sound, Melissa on the Reiki. Melissa trained under Nicola Buffa, who is a Reiki Master.

Each Sound Transmission is an arrangement of the healing tones of quartz crystal and alchemy singing bowls, channelled to return optimum alignment to the body and designed to inspire healing thought patterns through brainwave entrainment: a meditative journey that may yield clarity, connection to our inner wisdom, and a sense of deep peace, facilitated by sound.

Nicola Buffa, Source Field Sound

California artist Nicola Buffa, MFA, is a Reiki Master, Sound Healer and Hypnotherapist. As Source Field Sound she practices the healing arts, combining well known energy, sound and hypnosis modalities into therapeutic sessions for mental, physical and spiritual upliftment and ceremony.

Nicola's background is in the intersection of art and psychology, and a personal fascination with the phenomenon of human consciousness. Source Field Sound was established in 2017 as a sound and vibrational healing offering of sound, colour, light and aroma, with the mission to return ourselves to our natural state of being, creative and joyful, and to further explore human consciousness through the ephemeral happening of healing. It has since grown to include masterful Reiki energy and powerful hypnosis, and has held over 500 SoundBath ceremonies.

Her own healing journey has been shaped by being an artist, and by living with fibromyalgia from a young age. From those two perspectives she works with a personal understanding of the need for a quantum therapy that can meet pain on any level, grief as it moves through us, and joy as it punctuates a life with celebration. Healing is happening throughout our lifetime, facilitated by sound and energy, and we move through it with grace and beauty.

Time for Nicola to work at the studio one to one, offering Reiki sessions and hypnotherapy, is being arranged. Details will be announced here.

Melissa Wittman, founder of Soul Beauty Spa and Reiki Level II practitioner

Melissa Wittman, Reiki Level II

Melissa Wittman is a Level II Reiki Practitioner trained under Reiki Master Nicola Buffa. Through gentle Reiki infusions, Melissa creates a peaceful space for relaxation, energetic balance, and inner connection. During Soul Beauty Sound Bath gatherings, she weaves Reiki with the support of healing frequencies and sound to create a restorative experience that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit. Owner of Soul Beauty Spa in San Rafael, Melissa is a Master Esthetician and a Reiki II Practitioner.
